-ed often ends in -ado/-ido in Spanish

Words ending in “-ed” in English often become past participles ending in “-ado/-ido/-ada/-ida” in Spanish (used as adjectives or with auxiliary verbs).

Not all English participles ending in -en or irregular forms follow the -ado/-ido rule in Spanish.
